$ff4 VULCAN SOFTWARE...SIMPLY INOVATIVE
----------------------------------
$fbb BY DAVE "NOTHING BUT PRAISE" DIAMOND
$fbaI have to admit that when I first heard that a new software company
using Amos of all things to make games came onto the scene I had my
doubts. Vulcan however seem to be the only people making top quality
titles for this great machine.
The Valhalla series is absolutly fantastic (more about that later
though),Bograts is o.k,TimeKeepers is alright if you liked that sort of
game, the duffer was Jet Pilot, but there are loads more games to come
plus a new graphic adventure on 22 disks!
Onto my main reason for this article, first I`d like to thank Vulcan
software for sticking with the Amiga and making some great adventure
games. This leads me onto the Valhalla trilogy (any more to come dudes
and dudettes?) what I like most about them is the fact that they
actually make you refer to books,a option no other game has made
possible before.
The fact that we have to read some part of a book or look up various
words in the dictionary is thoughtfull considering most of us hardly
pick up a book these days. Maybe it wasn`t intentional but Vulcan have
great admeration in my eye`s for making a game that we actually have to
learn for.
Many ask me why I like adventure games so much? Well I like them
because you have to think about what to do,and it`s a challenge rather
than just collecting coins or bashing in a bad guy for the millionth
time.
So thanks Vulcan for some great games,if you`re making part 4 of
Valhalla, how`s about a better plot than last time eh?
Oh and also I little criticism here...your games AREN`t the first speech
adventure considering there was Operation Stealth and DarkSeed!

[I'm always visiting Vulcan's web site at www.vulcan.co.uk checking out
their latest releases. I too am a graphics adventure game nut but the
PC is providing far more of these games than the Amiga is at present.
However I'm glad Vulcan are still supporting the Amiga and I've even
managed to impress some of my PC mates with Vulcan demos. Kei]
